The beginning
OMI creates jewellery from naturally formed seashells.
Each piece is selected, designed and finished in Nigeria.
The idea
We kept looking at the shells around us and seeing something people had overlooked.
Their shapes were already beautiful. Their colours were already there. No two were exactly alike.
We simply wanted to see how far we could take them.
The craft
Every OMI begins with a naturally formed shell.
The shell is not simply a material used to make the jewellery. The shell is the reason the jewellery exists.
Nigeria has a coastline filled with natural forms, colour and texture.
OMI brings some of that beauty into something you can wear.
We do not make every shell look the same.
We design around what the shell already is.
That is what makes an OMI an OMI.
